5.17.2009 - Happy Anniversary Weekend

It's a tradition for us to spend an overnight in the city for our anniversary. Again, we procrastinated... again, we stayed in Lower Queen Anne. I think this year was the funnest though... we really relaxed and enjoyed the day and night.

6 Years and counting

Jen and I have our 6th year anniversary coming up soon. I always like to look at the photo albums at this time... I figured it was about time to just make a video about it using the photos.

Opening Day

Opening Day Regatta was going on so Reid and I braved the potential rain to go check out our friends at Lake Union Crew race.

New Job! Woo Hoo... Time to Celebrate

Yes, after 2 months, I was offered a role at PEMCO Insurance. In retrospect, getting laid off and having 2 months to spend at home turned out to be a good thing for us. One way we celebrated was to take the boys to Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark for an overnight trip and some water fun. I start work on Monday

Bike Racing Season Starts!

Yes.. .not sure how long I'll be able to keep on racing with no job, but this was a nice diversion and a good way to use all of my time on the bike while I'm without work. This was the first night of the '09 season out at Pacific Raceways.

Frozen Camping

Daddy went Snow Camping near Camp Muir as a way to help prepare for a Rainier Summit in the distant future. A good way to learn some new skills and with 10 degree temps, you're not doing much but staying warm and talking about stuff in the tent protecting you from the ice and wind. Kind of weird to listen to the avalanches off in the distance.

Pancake Saturdays

One of our weekend patterns is to get up early and throw together some pancakes. Reid is an early riser so he helps with the cooking. Once we're done, we wake up Bunz and have a Boyz Only pancake feed...

The Angry Holiday Singer

This might be funny to you. Reid is practicing his Holiday Singing skills and decided to put an angry spin on the lyrics. In case you're wondering, it was sent to AFV for a future Holiday episode and hopefully will net us 10 grand...

Ahhh... Christmas Time is approaching. We luvs us some Christmas at the Anderson House. We're at the beginning stages of making things "a tradition" in our house... one of those things is attending the Tree Lighting in Des Moines.
