Aren't kids generous. Take Reid for instance... over the weekend he gave me his cold. Surprisingly, he doesn't want it back. Boogie man strikes again.
Saturday morning he and I got up at 5 to watch a little news and some Olympic action. It's hard not to watch something like the Olympics and then place some kind of expectation (in your head) on your kid to become the next Olympic champion... I really think Reid could excel in the Skeleton... or the luge. He'll probably really dig Curling. How the heck did bobsledding make it into the Olympics? We used to do that as kids. Nobody timed us or measured how we pointed our toes and judged our start. The courses weren't as cool though. I think if you're going to have a wintertime, childhood pastime in the Olympics... it should be the Snowball Fight. You get 30 minutes to set up your "forts" and build your arsenal. I think USA would kick butt. Of course some of our players might be guilty of loading up our snowbombs with pebbles and rocks...
Instead of gold medals for that they could give out golden cups filled with hot cocoa. Just like when we were kids.
Here's a pic of Reid on Sat.
