First "Professional" shots

First off... Jen took Reid to Sears for his first professional shots. Unfortunately, she had to take him to get some other professional shots right afterwards. They actually got one good take. When he got to the Doctor's office they got 5 good shots. Poor little guy... he was sore and cranky by the time I got home. Band-aids on both legs... the kid was a mess.

In other news, Jen is starting to feel Baby part Deux kicking around in there. I'm kind of glad, because up until now, it hasn't set in. I haven't been to an ultrasound or Doppler appt. I think I never missed one of Reid's appts. Gotta make sure I'm bonding every day with both kids.

As a side note... At some point I'll post the video of "Sizzling Turkey" from our T-day holiday.

Long story short... I took some ribbing for yesterday's post... Some asked if my medication was right or if I changed meds. I assure you, this is the real deal. I am a child at heart. I own a Star Wars collection... in the boxes of course. I still play with bikes. I hang out at the paper shack try to see how many kids I can bunny hop with no ramp. OK... I don't do that last one but the other stuff I'll admit to. I think I'm pretty proud of it too. I don't want to be so serious that I eventually become some kind of stuffy adult, always telling his kid what "NOT" to do. I'd prefer to be more of a re-director... and that requires massive involvement with my kid(s). That means that I'll put on puppet shows... I may film those puppet shows. I may post those puppet shows on YouTube... hell, I may put a picture of a teammate waiting for the can in that film. That also means that I get to share some of my childhood with my kids... even if it is in the form of a re-inactment. As for Star Wars toys in the box (or case-fresh c9+)... I'm saving those for the moment that Reid (and kid2) gain an interest in the Force and I'll be able to share a defining moment in my kids' life... the feeling of cracking open a case fresh, Star Wars figure. Smelling the stagnant Hasbro factory air... and then going, "Oh crap, I ripped the card"... No really, It's about watching them react to a collection that rivals the imaginative Star Wars collection I had as a kid... Imaginative because we could never afford the collection that I would assemble from the Jafco catalog each holiday season. Hoping...wishing... that Santa or my parents (didn't really care who) would bring me the Millenium Falcon with REAL battle action damage stickers and realistic Star Wars sounds... oh and the chess table inside. Why didn't they make the knees bend on those damned things anyways...but that's another entry entirely.
